Carolyn M. Hyde, M.D., Board-Ceritfied and Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Surgeon
A board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Carolyn Hyde has been providing orthopedic surgery and sports medicine to Austin residents for 30 years. She takes the time to educate each patient about their injury and treatment options so that they are well-informed and can decide which treatment plan is best for them.
After receiving her undergraduate degree from Yale University, Dr. Hyde earned her medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in 1986. She then completed her internship and orthopedic residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in 1991. Dr. Hyde returned to Yale, where she pursued fellowship training in sports medicine and knee reconstruction at Yale University School of Medicine.
Dr. Hyde offers a broad range of orthopedic procedures with a special interest in sports-related injuries, arthroscopy, shoulder and knee reconstruction, and joint replacement. Having been a varsity swimmer in college, Dr. Hyde knows how important it is for athletes to receive the best care available. She is personally invested in helping her patients recover quickly and get back to doing what they love most.
